Have no fear, here's a way to impress the family and have a heartfelt homemade gift for anyone. All it takes is this simple salted caramel sauce recipe and maybe a cute mason jar to hold your treat.

Salted Caramel Sauce

    Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream warmed
  • 1 teaspoon flakey sea salt
  • Step 1

    Collect ingredients.

    Place medium sauceplan of sugar.

    Stir until sugar is melted and has turned an amber colour.

    Remove from heat and stir in butter.

    Add in cream and sea salt once the butter has been mixed in, then return to heat for one minute. Stir until mixture is smooth.
