On Sunday, November 12th, Spoon Cuse hosted a ramen bar sponsored by Mike's Mighty Good Ramen. The turnout was huge; over 50 students attended and were all huge fans of the ramen.

Our Editorial Director, Amy Schwartz, and I got to the event an hour before everyone else and made 25 bowls of ramen soup in various flavors, so when our guests arrived they would be able to immediately take advantage of our toppings bar. While it is often exciting to make ramen yourself, we did not want our guests waiting a long time to enjoy their food.

Our toppings bar was filled with delicious and classic ramen toppings such as fresh avocado, corn, scallions, seaweed, kimchi, sesame seeds, and hard boiled eggs. Everyone who attended the event had a great time picking out the perfect accompaniments for their ramen soup flavor of choice.

Multiple students who attended the event were more than happy to share their sentiments about the brand. Syracuse University Sophomore Tess Greenberg said, "It was a really great event. I was surprised how good the ramen was, as I don't usually turn to microwaveable products for my meals." Greenberg's comments were echoed throughout the attendees. People were surprised that a microwaveable product could taste so good. Sophomore Staci Soslowitz said, "I was so surprised that a packaged soup could taste so good. When I added a bunch of different ingredients, it made it seem like straight out of a restaurant."

In addition to just tasting the ramen, students at the event were able to post a picture of their ramen soup creation on social media using the hashtag #noodlepull for a chance to win a Mike's Mighty Good Ramen sweatshirt. Staci Soslowitz, a new fan of the brand, posted a great shot on her Instagram Story of her noodle pull and blew everyone in our chapter away.

The turnout was overwhelming and we were delighted to see so many people interested in our Spoon University chapter and the ramen as well. We had plenty of ramen to go around, and continued to make more soups throughout the event so that everyone could get a taste.

Mike's Mighty Good Ramen was a great partner for this event and provided us with tons of fun apparel, stickers and, of course, ramen for our guests. Everyone who attended the event was more than happy to leave with a cool t-shirt and some fun stickers to make their laptop shine. Event guests all were able to take uncooked ramen soup home to make in their own dorms as well!

Overall, this event was a huge success that brought more awareness to both Mike's Mighty Good Ramen and Syracuse University's Spoon chapter on campus.
